Homage Françoise Gilot at the Kunsthalle Budapest
The exhibition 'Rising Phoenix' at the Kunsthalle Budapest can be regarded as the most comprehensive presentation of Gilot's art ever to be staged in Europe. From the very early drawing of 1938, representing the beginning of her career, to the still life of 2016, which marks the last phase of her oeuvre, Gilot's main periods, themes, and series are represented with 70 artworks.

The legendary artist of the Várfok Gallery’s artist circle, Françoise Gilot (b.1921, Neuilly-Sur-Seine, France), celebrates her 100th birthday this year. The Várfok Gallery will pay tribute to the artist with a large-scale, retrospective exhibition, opening on Gilot’s 100th birthday, 26th. November, 2021.
